Currently Chairman of the UITP Light Rail Committee. Since 2000 he is the Managing Director of the company METROTENERIFE being responsible for the design, financial structure, tendering, construction and operation of the Light Rail network in the metropolitan area of Tenerife. He is also responsible for the Planning and development of two Railway Lines with 80+40Km both on the island and he leads the national and international contracts in which the company works abroad. Associate professor at University of La Laguna (Tenerife)
