OUIGO ESPAÑA SAU is a private company and Spanish subsidiary of SNCF Voyageurs, a French group and one of the world’s leading providers of travel services, primarily rail. OUIGO was one of the first operators to offer high-speed services in Spain after the market opened to competition, and it has always aimed to provide accessible services to all since the beginning.

It first route was launch the 10th of May 2021, offering highspeed services between Madrid – Barcelona with stops in Zaragoza and Tarragona. It will then continue to expand its destinations on October 7, 2022, when the company will operate the Madrid-Valencia route, and on April 27, 2023, OUIGO will expand its activity in Spain, bringing its service to the cities of Alicante and Albacete. On April 19, 2024, OUIGO connected Madrid with Valladolid and Segovia, and on September 5, 2024, Madrid with Elche and Murcia. In 2024, it also added a stop in Cuenca on the Madrid-Valencia and Madrid-Albacete-Alicante routes and connected Valladolid with Alicante and Valladolid with Valencia. In addition, on January 16, 2025, OUIGO inaugurated the Madrid-Seville and Madrid-Malaga routes, both with stops in Cordoba, in its network of destinations. Finally, since December 14 of that same year, it has offered a direct service between Barcelona and Seville, with stops in Zaragoza-Delicias, Madrid Puerta de Atocha, and Cordoba.

Today, after an investment of more than €700 million, with almost 500 direct employees and 2,500 indirect employees, OUIGO connects 15 destinations and has transported more than 22 million passengers. In 2024 alone, the company's activity contributed €159 million to Spain's GDP. For every euro that OUIGO generates, €9 is added to the Spanish economy. With the aim of democratizing high-speed rail in Spain, OUIGO offers tickets at affordable prices, with 25% of its passengers being new users and 85% of passengers saying they travel more since its arrival.
