Activities by year |
During 2024, the company has continued to grow in terms of facilities and number of employees. The training center, opened in 2023 within the Albuixech plant, continues to offer dual vocational training in welding, mechatronics, electricity, and painting. This initiative has two objectives: to ensure the availability of new employees with the necessary qualifications and to promote the continuous training of its workforce.
In line with our commitment to the environment, we have invested in a self-consumption power generation plant using photovoltaic technology, with an annual capacity of approximately 2.5 GWh. This will result in a savings of around 450 tons of CO2 per year, equivalent to planting 900 trees.
In the financial year 2024, the company can highlight the consolidation of its position in the markets where it already operates, in all its products: locomotives (electric, diesel, dual, hybrid), in LRV (trams and metros) and EMUs.
In the national market, Stadler's strength as a supplier of rolling stock to public and private operators remains strong, either directly with them or through railway vehicle leasing companies. The company maintains its leadership in passenger vehicle maintenance activities in the Valencian Community and the Balearic Islands.
In the international market, the company has strengthened its position in Portugal and Italy with a new order for metros for Metropolitano de Lisboa and the extension of the rescue locomotive contract for the public operator TrenItalia. Additionally, the manufacturing and homologation of vehicles destined for operators in these two countries are ongoing.
In the European continent, mainly in German-speaking markets, the company's position as a supplier of locomotives, trams, and tram-trains is consolidated. For example, at the InnoTrans 2024 fair, the first tram-train of an order of up to 504 vehicles for a consortium of regional operators in Austria and Germany, placed in 2022, was presented.
Freight locomotives are destined not only for public operators but also for various private operators and leasing companies, who trust the solutions proposed by the company. In this regard, two important milestones stand out: the entry into Lithuania of the EURODUAL locomotive family with a contract from LTG Cargo and the introduction of a new generation of 4-axle locomotives with a significant order from the Swiss operator, SBB Cargo.
In 2024, markets outside the European sphere, such as Turkey, New Zealand, Taiwan, and Uruguay, where locomotives supplied by the company have started to operate, have also been consolidated. Another important milestone is the entry into the North American urban transport market with a first contract for CITYLINK light vehicles for the state of Utah (USA).
