R&D

The company continues to carry out important R&D&I activities to generate solutions and apply the most advanced technologies to its customers' needs. This activity is mainly carried out through projects in collaboration with customers, universities, research centres and other companies, with incentives and funding from entities such as the Centre for the Development of Industrial Technology (CDTI) and the European Commission (EC).  

The three most important projects are: Super PV, which integrates AI into photovoltaic plants to reduce maintenance costs and achieve new systems for obtaining solar energy, based on state-of-the-art PV; Islander, which proposes the design of a complete system to turn the German island of Borkum into a fully autonomous and decarbonised energy enclave by 2030; and SDN-Microsense, which aims to design and provide a new resilient, multi-layered, SDN-compatible microgrid architecture.
