Academic background Graduate in Public Administration from the National School of Administration (ENA) in France; she studied European Studies in Edinburgh and holds a Master´s degree in Public Administration from Sciences Po Rennes.

Career path Amandine Thomas-Commin, General Director of OUIGO Spain, has a solid track record with more than 18 years of experience in the railway sector and has held various senior positions within the SNCF Group. She also stands out for her experience within the French Public Administration.

Amandine Thomas-Commin’s career has been largely linked to the railway sector. She has held positions of responsibility in the management of operational units and stations in Paris, as well as in strategic missions of a social nature, and she has served as Chief of Staff at the Passenger General Directorate. Until January 2026, she was the Director of Intercités, the business unit for conventional long-distance trains, which transported 12 million passengers per year thanks to its 2,500 employees. Over the past five years, Intercités witnessed the launch of new lines, including three night-train routes, and strong traffic growth. In addition, under her leadership, the division won the first tender organized by the French State as part of the market liberalization of these territorial cohesion lines.

Amandine Thomas-Commin currently serves as General Director of OUIGO Spain, a subsidiary of the French group SNCF Voyageurs. OUIGO was a pioneer in operating high-speed trains in Spain following market liberalization, becoming the first alternative operator. Its first route in Spain, Madrid–Barcelona, began operating in May 2021. Today, OUIGO serves 15 destinations, contributing to the democratization of high-speed rail, and more than 22 million passengers have already travelled thanks to its services.
