He began his career at Alcatel Group as Product Manager in the Marketing Department. From 1996-2002 Alstom Transporte in Mexico as COO, responsible of different contracts and operations in 4 cities (Veracruz, Mexico City, Monterrey and Guadalajara). Mexican Railroads such as TFM or Ferromex were the customers. During 2003 as VP North America for Alstom Transport Inc. Located in Chicago (IL) responsible for customer services operations of different fleets of locomotives, Burlington Northern Santa Fe (BNSF), Kansas City Southern (KCS) and Canadian Pacific (CP). During 2004 and 2005 and based in Paris (France) Senior Vice-President Customer Services with worldwide responsibilities in Maintenance, Renovation and Spare parts, at Alstom Transport Head Offices. From 2005 to 2009 he continued his career as CEO of Salvago, developed domestic and international expansion as well as the national leadership of a Real Estate consulting firm based in Malaga, Spain and with presence in Andalusia, Madrid, Mexico and Argentina. In July 2009 he joined again Alstom Spain, railway sector as Transport Managing Director: manufacturing and maintenance of trains, subways and trams, as well as signaling and telecommunications infrastructure. In November 2012 he was appointed President of Alstom Spain.
In addition to these responsibilities, since February 2018 he was appointed General Director of Alstom for Central and Eastern Europe.
