Pursuing a goal of creating a virtual machine system that is stable, reliable and low cost, after two years of R&D we have created a virtualization solution on top of KVM. We were looking for a system that would be able to move Windows and Linux environments with cheap hardware and that would not allow hot VMs to be modified without the need to stop user activity. In our test bench, solutions for ISCSI connections, migrations, backups, snapshots were implemented with very good results. We now have a virtualization solution on top of KVM with containers and virtual machines, hot copies and migrations of virtual machines, and with ISCSI Target storage on Synology NAS.
