The main products and services offered by SEGULA TECNOLOGIAS through its Railway Division in Spain are mainly focused on 3 lines of activity: 
1.- Development of new railway vehicles: 
- Light vehicles (Trams, Trentrams) 
- Regional vehicles (EMUs, DMUs, Bimodal) 
- Monorails 
- Trailed cars (sleepers, cafeterias, restaurants…) 
- Locomotives and shuntings. 
2.- Modernisations/remodelling of old railway vehicles 
3.- Consulting for different railway manufacturers and national operators.

Six departments have been consolidated within the structure of the Railway Division: RAMS, PMO, V&V, industrial processes, signalling and styling. 

This year 2024 marks 20 years since SEGULA entered the railway industry in Spain, through the acquisition of a local engineering company located in Zaragoza, going from 10 engineers to around 250 engineers today. 

SEGULA has been accredited with EN15085-2:2020 (CL1-D) in the field of application: Calculation, design and documentation for the production and maintenance of welded railway vehicles and components. 

Finally, SEGULA has been recognised by CEOE Aragón, CEPYME and the San Valero group as a company committed to job creation, economic growth and the value of talent in Aragon through a digital badge that accredits this.

Attracting new international clients in the railway world with projects developed at the International Center of Excellence located in Zaragoza.

New projects developed by the R&D department of SEGULA:

GECKO SYSTEM: Integration of seats in the interior panels of the tram
KATHISNEA SYSTEM: Folding four-seat module for maximum capacity for tram
Bicycle rack integrable in light trains    

Three concepts with the same purpose: To adapt the interior design according to the need to increase or decrease the number of tram users at rush hours.

After the acquisition of TECHNICON DESIGN, gained a strong experience and know-how in Styling and Virtual models as part of the global offer of SEGULA in the design of rolling stock.
