SNCF Réseau and Alstom on a strategic project to moder-
nise lines B & D of the Île-de-France RER. Our mission: to
evaluate the NExTEO BD system, a major innovation that
will improve train traffic. CERTIFER is acting as ISA (Inde-
pendent Safety Assessor) and Notified Body (NoBo) to gua-
rantee the safety and interoperability of the entire system.
- Late 2024, CERTIFER has certified the implementation of
ETCS Level 2 on 700 kilometres of railway infrastructure
in Belgium. The master plan will be finalised by the end of
